Welcome to my Genius hour blog! In our introduction class for Teaching Digital Learners in The Digital Age (8Y08) we were introduced to many tools that will help present information in many different forms and platforms!

As a science nerd I had to pick the elemeyer flask option provided from the website! One of the first word that pops out is Familia; which is Spanish for family. Soccer is a sport that is a huge part of me, from waking up at 7am to tune into an English Premiere League to playing it for 18 years; my favourite team is Liverpool FC. I love video games (I still love Pokémon to this date, play on my Nintendo Switch, my PS4 and on my PC). Dogs, do I really need to say more? I love learning and do not want to stop learning! This in a nutshell is me! I hope you enjoyed this fun and quirky nerd word art!

I'm going to let you into a secret. I worked at the YMCA Brantford for a solid school year as School-age Child Care (SACC) supervisor and I stayed away from Pinterest like it was the plague. Within a couple of days of Teach College I was signed up and created an All About Me Pinterest board. Huge Harry Potter and Star Wars fan, so the cross-over art was a must (Ravenclaw and the darkside of the force is where it is at). I love the Oilers, even if they are terrible with the best player in the game! Two random dudes in this board-Tyler Dewitt (TED talk around making science fun) and Sir Ken Robinson; both these educators produced TED talks that have in a way influenced my way of thinking about education. I do hope to become a principal in the future.

Failure can be a scary thing. However, it is also one of the greatest teachers out there. In this video embedded below we see Yoda, probably one of the best masters of his time, teach Luke Skywalker a thing or two about what it truly means to be a master.
